Global Exchange Rates for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
The Global Exchange Rates app lets you download official exchange rates from over 80 central banks and tax authorities directly into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
The downloaded rates are the official rates published by each country's central bank or tax authority, making them ideal for accounting and statutory reporting. Rates are always imported against your legal entity's accounting currency, so they are ready to use and fully auditable.
For currencies not published by a given central bank, our GLOBAL provider offers daily rates for 150+ currencies, calculated with a proprietary algorithm that blends official central-bank data with market rates.

Subscription & API key
The app connects to the Global Exchange Rates service, which requires an API key from an active Enterprise subscription on the Developer API Portal — a 30-day free trial is available.
Enter the API key in the exchange-rate provider configuration (see Providers & Currency Sources).
Security
The package ships a duty and a role for managing the provider configuration. Assign the Global Exchange Rates – maintain role (duty GER_CurrencyProvidersMaintain) to the users who configure providers and import rates. The role extends the standard General ledger process, so no extra menu configuration is required.
